I have downloaded SolTrace from NREL website and its user interface is entirely different what all of sharing here can any one help me.

My advice is to contact directly with the authors who worked or used this software like Roux and others.

Personally, I worked with OptisWorks which is also a ray tracing software.

In my experience, this method has no influence on the optical results, just check well the X, Y and Z coordinates of each element and stage.

Massaab el Ydrissi What are the aimpoints in a stage? If aim points are the normal vector aim points of an element in a stage then what is the reference coordinate system for aim points?

@Massab el ydrissi .. Please explain how to get absorber circumferential angle vs heat flux distribution graph in soltrace from generated contour and surface plot in silence.. Also, what to put in z coordinate of tube ( as for different rim angle it's different coordinate z= focal length or z= focal lenth-ro gives optimized result for heat flux)
