All right. Samarium and neodymium is not an issue for me. You may see the paper "Features of spectral properties of Sm3 + complexes with dithia- and diselenophosphinate ligands" to observe what kind of research I can provide.

I have recently published a paper on samarium, both visible and NIR emission (JMC-C 2013, 1(42) 6935 http://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlepdf/2013/tc/c3tc31181c . Note than some papers (e.g. JACS 2011, 134(16) 6987) report wrong spectrum for Sm in that the NIR portion is simply the second-order spectrum of the visible emission bands...(no filter introduced!)

There is no special software; you can use Origin or Excel once you have the energy of the transitions
