In my opinion, there are many Polymers such as Poly(2-phenyl-2-oxazoline) (PPhOx) and polymethylmethacrlate (PMMA) are soluble in ethanol. Because the structures of PPhOx and PMMA
seem to be rather similar; in both cases the polymers contain
hydrophobic side chains (phenyl or methyl) and hydrogen bond
accepting groups (amide or ester) close to the polymer backbone.
As Dr.Sadanand Pandey mentioned, molecular structure of the polymer plays main role in it. But in any case, polymer's solubility depends on their molecular weight. More soluble is when polymer has low molecular weight.
