I am a Master’s student carrying out a survey of Agricultural experts, researchers and agricultural innovators for a research thesis assessing the perceptions of Digital agriculture technology tools and solutions in improving local livelihoods in the Gambia. Owing to the travel restrictions during this current time, l am appealing to the global space of research experts who can assist. I want to interview digital agriculture, agriculture policy experts and innovators with experience in the use, policy, and practice of the following digital technology solutions in Agriculture: sensors, automated solar water pumping systems, IoT irrigation systems, mobile web applications, and digital web platforms, Agro-photovoltaics to name a few. To carry out the study in discussion following points may be taken into consideration:
1. Identify the digital tools used in agriculture.
2.Select the users of such tools comprising innovators, researchers, Advanced farmers depending on your capacity.
3. Simultaneously, choose non users of these technologies for comparison and validation of your results.
3.Develop a format for data collection from both type of innovators.
4. The questions can be categories into tools specific issues such climate change and variability, precision in using the fertilizer and other inputs etc.
5. The data base can be generated over a time span to analyze data.
6. You can use the available crop models to carry out the analysis.
Etc.. Etc..
The procedure may vary depending upon your hypothesis and objective.

I have a student asking similar questions, but from the point of view of small-scale farmers in our area in South Africa. We have the same problem of not being able to physically engage with farmers. I would advise you to approach particular companies in your study region (whether local or global). I think a targeted approach is going to be more helpful in getting respondents.
It may also help if you either attach a summary of your research proposal, or post it on your profile for interested parties to take up. However, even so, I think a more targeted sampling approach is going to be more effective than a blanket invitation here.
This is important work on the continent. I wish you every success with your efforts. We are hopeful that there will soon be a time when we can travel again, and carry out our work under much better conditions.
