Some "non-predatory" journals owned by small professionals groups and institutions, remain for a long time outside the PubMed and PMC index. Despite many citations to their articles as seen in Google Scholar, they can not claim an impact factor of any sort. Can an "impact factor-like" metric be calculated for such a journal based on the numbers of citations seen in Google Scholar? If so, what do you call this metric? There is an RG IF why there is no GS IF?
