Can imbalanced signals be produced ?
Can Triangle / SawTooth waves be produced ?
In the confines of a Wein-Bridge design :
(1) What are the controlling parameters ?
(2) What are the measurable factors that define this system ?

One might spend a mountain of time in trying to
meet your newly stated criteria. But I'm puzzled.
What would be the objective? There is surely a
huge family of specialized, and optimized, cells
that were developed to generate the waveforms
that you list. What am I missing?

Glen, I also think that forcing of the Wien oscillator to sawtooth waves is not very appropriate. Maximally we can get the "limitation" - with the amplifier's greater gain. But we probably do not want to. Mostly, we want the least possible distortion :-)

I see the Research Gate forum as
(1) a place where students / engineers can post a problem
without embarrasment or severe critique .
(2) a place to explore new thoughts, and grow intellectually
without being put-aside for non-academic value.
Time will tell the pragmatic results.
I have other questions ,
mainly about Direct RF conversion to audio, without an I.F. circuit,
and the application of quadrature circuitry in this operation .
Such things occupy my thoughts now .

I read briefly the pdf paper suggested by
Simone and realize that my usage of the
term has been quite incorrect. In reading
various papers in the past it seemed the
authors were using the word 'cisoidal' to
avoid having to write out 'signals having
either a strictly cosine or sine waveform'.
Obviousy, the sole difference in the latter
case is the relative phase.

Although a mistake in interpretation, on
my part, it leaves me wondering if there
may already be a neat way of structuring
one's phrases when referring to the idea
of 'waveform-pairs having zero and pi/2
relative phase'.
.
The word 'harmonic' is not very precise,
because it says nothing about the purity
or exact conformance to a trigonometric
basis for this special pair of time forms;
and the hybrid 'co+sinewave' is terrible....
.
Any suggestions?

and invite to further analysis.
IF
all Oscillators have some relation to the sine-and-cosine family,
and their natural periodic nature,
THEN, perhaps ,
the only distinction between plausible classes of Oscillators
may lay in the historical method behind their development.
But, this response belongs, properly, in the prior thread.
