Can a stripping plating experiment be done at more than 100% Depth of Discharge?

I want to do a zinc stripping and plating experiment at a fixed capacity of 80 mAh/cm2 for which I have used a symmetric cell containing zinc foil of 0.01 cm thickness and 0.1 cm diameter disk. I have calculated the corresponding DOD to be 136%. Is it scientifically acceptable to experiment this way, or should I move to a lower DOD %? (Although the cycling is running.)
