Can a Soxhlet thimble be used repeatedly for coal extraction?

I am in the planning stages of coal extraction using a Soxhlet extractor. Does anyone know if it is possible to repeatedly use a soxhlet thimble for several extraction runs using acid, base, alcohol and distilled water? Please advice.
