Perhaps you could assess the marketability of refugees based on a specific industry ( such IT based companies/ manufacturing/ education/ .etc) .
You could assess by sectors ( public ,private, semi-public,etc) and even narrow down your assessment among managerial levels, or non-managerial.

This sounds like a relevant and interesting topic! Reading your question, I think it might help to establish which angle you want to take? Will you do interviews with US employers, and find out how they perceive refugee job-seekers? Or will you focus on the experience of refugee employees, and what challenges they have (or had) when finding jobs. It might be a good starting point! Good luck!
