Dear researchers,

I am excited to announce the second phase of the Essence of Knowledge Initiative!

Over the last six months, the project explored the concept of knowledge from social, cognitive, cultural, and philosophical perspectives, enriched by diverse field-specific insights. While the first phase focused on the value-based and social power of knowledge—its role in shaping communities and driving change—this second phase will turn inward, exploring knowledge as a means of self-formation.

As the project lead, I am coordinating this independent research initiative, which is not affiliated with any institution. However, affiliation with a university or academic center may be possible at a later stage. I would also be glad to collaborate with academic institutions, universities, or research centers interested in formally affiliating with the project.

The project welcomes doctoral students, PhD holders, professors, and a limited number of master’s students from all disciplinary backgrounds, as its focus remains interdisciplinary.

Activities in this phase will include coauthoring research papers, generating ideas, and participating in scholarly discussions. The format will be hybrid, mostly asynchronous—with occasional live presentations, masterclasses, and discussion sessions (some activities will be optional.)

Here you can read the project report, which summarizes the results and outcomes of the first phase: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/393794828_Project_Report_First_Phase_of_The_Essence_of_Knowledge_Initiative

Sign-up deadline: September 10
