I want to calculate the bandgap from absorbance VS wavelength graph. Is there any formula for calculating absorption coefficient(alpha). If I want to convert the absorbance into refluctance any formule and from there to calculate Alpha value. My sample is liquid and I dont have any thinfilms

As you said for drawing tauc plot between (αhv)1/n vs hv the α value should be determined. But how to determine that from absorbance. And I am attaching my file how I got the values. Can you explain it to me where I should show the tangential line for the band gap on X-axis
