I would like to learn how to calculate the distance to any galaxy using available online databases (such as hyperleda https://leda.univ-lyon1.fr/ledacat.cgi?o=pgc2796) and the math behind it. That means I'm curious to learn how to calculate the distance to galaxies that are typically quite far and distance not published. They are certainly outside of our local system.

For example, returning to my example galaxy PGC 2976. I would like to be able to use an available online database such as hyperleda, vizier, aladin, etc. look up whatever information is required, and with your help understand how to convert the data available into an estimate.

I already know the Hubble method and Tully-Fisher methods.
