I wouldn't call a black hole a naked star, and as a result, don't see the point of your third sentence. However, extremely massive stars generally do end up as black holes, and it is thought (though not yet proven) that if enough gas falls into a region to form a very "extremely massive" star, then it is conceivable that instead of forming a star it could just collapse to form a black hole, instead. In fact, that idea (multiplied by hundreds of millions of times) is probably the cause of the massive black holes found at the center of most large galaxies. So although I wouldn't say that your second sentence is true for stars in general, I would agree that if you can get enough stuff together to form a star that is doomed to become a black hole when it dies, then it is possible that it might just form a black hole instead of star right at the start.

A black hole is the naked star. I am 100% sure of what I wrote. I have not yet explained why this explanation is relevant to the formation of the atomic nucleus.
