The tapped and untapped potential of medicinal plants of Kerala is too vast. Extensive work should be done in this area using computational and cheminformatic studies as compared to wet lab experiments so that anyone with a knowledge of computer and bioinformatic tools can contribute to the same. What say ?
True. There are anti-diabetic properties in drumstick and orange but not all persons with diabetes have the same type of effect in lowering blood glucose level after consumption of the same. What say?
I agree with you Dr. Preetha. It could be the type of the diabetes that one is having which could affect the efficacy of the extracts. I am undertaking research on anti-diabetic plants in Kenya, and in bio-assay guided screening I get very interesting results. The results may also be affected by the route of delivery.

I am very happy to know that you are working in a very important area which might bring some respite to the diabetic population. I believe the wisdom shown by the local people in the local flora, the solution has to be in the extract or in one of the components and that is the tricky and real research problem.
