Dear Mohammed Bakir, all polymers with -C-C- such as HPAM are considered as non-biodegradable contrary to heteroatomic main chain polymers. Basing on this it is expected that PEO is by far more biodegradable than HPAM. My Regards
Biodegradability is a factor of acid, base, environmental conditions, microbes, and other naturally sourced degradation to smaller fragments of the polymer. Certain bonds, i.e., ester, ether, and so on are comparatively broken down easily. As told by Dr. Bouaziz, the-C-C- bonds are not! All degradability can be predicted, also comparatively based on the structure and presence of types and numbers of degrading units.
