Hi everyone, I'm looking for recommendations about Eye Tracking Devices, specifically for use in behavioral and physiological research. My plan is to register eye movement, pupil size and EEG recordings while participants complete computerized behavioral tasks.
Really appreciate in advance any info about brands, companies, prices and prior experiences using the product.
We used Pupil Labs https://pupil-labs.com/products/ (~2000 euro)
we could synchronize everything to both the stimulation computer and therefore the EEG (BrainVision) no problem. The device itself had hardware glitches that we had to send the glasses back to have fixed, but otherwise it was a very usable product, both the hardware, the GUIs and scripting the software. I would say there’s a reason it costs an order of magnitude less than more traditional eye tracking hardware (e.g. Tobii), but it got the job done, so if you can’t afford the next level up, it’s what I’d recommend.

Do you have a programming background or support? The most sensitive data will be collected by the high end equipment, e.g. EyeLink 1000 Plus. Otherwise go with equipment that comes with built-in programs (tobi) and have an academic reputation as well. E.g. you can link any equipment if you know how to write a program.
