Best method to remove chalky materials of Sand fish?

I need a clarification on the best method than can be employed to remove chalky materials of Holothuria scabra (Sand fish). Currently in Sri Lanka scrubbing using wire mesh after storing boiled products in wet condition for one day is widely practiced. Some extent of deterioration of internal parts is happening in this activity. Therefore, I need any tested methods overseas or Sri Lanka.
