I need some suggestion before buying a fatigue testing machine.
The max load is approx. 5kN. Which tecnology is better for such size? Electro-actuation or pneumatic-actuation?
The electical solution seem to have higher frequencies...

Usually the hydraulic action UTMs are used for fatigue tests. The frequencies you can reach are way higher than what a electro machine can do.

Dear Franco, possible, fatigue test machines with electric drive has some advantages in comparison with hydraulic ones, at least in case of moderate loads. But your 5 kN is seemed as enough high load...Good luck!

Besides possible test frequencies and loads, you should also consider that servo-electric machines need far less maintainance and more or less no auxiliary facilities (hydraulic/pneumatic supply).
For a 5 kN application I would choose an electric system.

For the low cycle fatigue test the appropriate solution is the material testing machine with a servo-electric actuator that have a load frame with high lateral and axial stiffness and a precision alignment fixture to meet the demands of LCF test standards.
For the high cycle fatigue test for which a high frequency is more important the traditional solution is the testing machine with a hydraulic technology or the resonant testing machine.
