I have a high pressure distribution block that has been in place for a few months on our test rig, this has developed a large amount of surface and internal corrosion resulting in leaks around the sealing areas. It's already supposedly some kind of stainless steel but so far we have been unable to find the exact material spec as the original manufacturer has stopped making the item.
Can anyone recommend a material that would suit the following operating conditions?
water pH 8-9
conductivity 1008 us/cm
chlorides 180 mg/L
total hardness roughly 45
operating between 10 and 80 deg.C
I would assume a near 0 carbon content, high chromium and high moly content would be the best option? Possibly a 2205 duplex variant?
Any information or guidance would be very much appreciated!
Thanks
Brendan
