It is widely circulated that none of the vaccine is giving immunity against virus, nor it is giving resistance against virus, it even does not provide evidence that one will not be contiguous for others after vaccination.kindly comments
While we won't stop the general but effects precautions of social distancing, hand washing/sanitizing and others, it's still better to have the vaccine as another form of precaution. More studies are ongoing. For the meantime, we won't lose anything for being vaccinated.
Yes! If you are currently eligible to get a vaccine, go ahead and get it. We really need more people to get vaccinated to build herd immunity and slow the spread of disease. Vaccines are an important part of our toolkit for moving us out of the pandemic
I am not an expert on vaccines, but still, I am participating in this discussion because the topic is such that it touches my life. It has been mentioned in the explanatory part of the discussion that there are not much benefits of taking vaccines. May be that the benefits of taking these vaccines is very "small"/ "limited"/ "few" (if it can be measured that way). Then also we should take these vaccines. At least a small part of this problem gets solved. In the field of Management and Self-Improvement, it is commonly said that if the whole problem cannot be solved, then the focus should be on solving that part which is possible to be solved. Who knows, after solving that small part, may be that there will be new break through to solve the rest part. But if we do not solve that small portion, then we are unable to reach those magical break through.
Follow up after 2nd dose of Moderna CoVID-19 vaccine confirms protection at 4 months.
A follow up of the Moderna SARS-CoV-2 mRNA-1273 Vaccine (1) has shown protection protection against COVID-19 for up to 119 days after the second vaccine dose. (NEJM)
Further follow up of this cohort will be valuable to know the exact time of protection.

None of the currently approved COVID-19 vaccines will provide life-long immunity but can only last for 5 months. However, vaccine against flu must also be repeated within a certain timeframe in order to boost immunity. COVID-19 vaccine will help keep you from getting seriously ill even if you do get COVID-19. Getting vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you, particularly people at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
COVID-19 vaccine will ultimately make this infection a seasonal infection just like Influenza. Even now it is better than nothing compared with a few months ago!
All the currently available COVID-19 vaccines do not prevent 100% infections, do not completely provide coverage to the novel SARS-CoV-2 variants, and are not available to the poorest of the poor countries.
However, the COVID-19 vaccines have caused a salutary reduction in the overall cases of new infections and deaths. With vaccine-boosters available to cover for the new SARS-CoV-2 variants, increase world-wide vaccine coverage over time, the COVID-19 will likely become a seasonal endemic infection just like Influenza.
The confirmed truth at present is that companies producing vaccines benefit from taking a vaccine for Covid 19, but what are the pros and cons of these vaccines? This is not known until now to be exact.
Let me explain with an example. Two doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were about 95% effective against cases of symptomatic COVID-19. This means that if 100 people have been vaccinated, 95 people will not be infected with the coronavirus, while there is a 100% chance of preventing death, meaning that the 5 people who are likely to be infected with the coronavirus will not die for Corona.
Of course, it's good that we discuss, share what we read, share our experience. But even experts will not tell you whether the vaccines themselves are 100% safe. Safe for a healthy person, and if a person, for example, has diabetes, kidney, pancreas, or liver or heart, is allergic. There is a guarantee that a person will take the vaccine and ... We need long and tedious statistics, but there is no time for it. Therefore, it is 50-50 for a person with sores.
