My arguments against digitalisation are as follows:
No one has shown that education with virtual media is in any way better than with a good teacher, a good book, pencil and paper. Quite the contrary. Non-industry-sponsored scientific studies and years of history back this up. Our own personal learning experience does too.
Countries that used to have very good results in the PISA report have significantly worsened since they have implemented virtual media in their education system.
Many Silicon Valley workers send their children to screen-free schools because they know they are creating an elite of free people and not media puppets.
The staff of many technology companies have directly or indirectly acknowledged that their products dedicated to education and entertainment have been created for commercial and ideological purposes, to generate adults who are consumers and addicted to their environment and, above all, to control people. They recognise that the paradigm that money is the goal is now obsolete, the goal is now individuals, people and their privacy, to be able to subjugate them at will.
