Bayesian Pearson and Kendal coefficients?

Need to compute polychoric correlation coefficient for 10-12 pairs of ordinal variables (3 to 4 categories)

Came across Bayesian Pearson r and Kendal Tau coefficients ( in addition to normal Pearson r and Kendal Tau ) in JASP software package. Trying to understand whether this will serve?

The explanation for Bayesian Pearson r states continuous varaible as a condition whereas explanation missing for Bayesian Kendal Tau.
