Is there any work (or works) that measures attention span from infancy to adulthood?
For studies of the development of attention throughout infancy, you might look up the research of Adele Diamond (e.g., with the Piagetian object permanence task). For its development in toddlerhood you might look up the dimensional change card sort task. And for research that spans early childhood into adulthood, you might look up Robert Kail.
