Sir Andre Michaud very informative and no doubt American were the inventor of the idea to think this aspect of the human behaviour, Andre basically the important mater is realisation weather the polices are align with the needs vise versa. In context of our region internal displacement, effects of war and after war, social issues and many more reasons for a child of age 5-9 years to be a victim of ADD/ADHD in term of behaviour. So two things need to be addressed one is weather a simple research tools well framed with the existing international level simple questions, steps, and stages for initial scanning the children with ADD/ADHD. Secondly awareness about ADHD among the parents, communities, leaderships and other stakeholders to actions. Mostly cases of ADHD cure itself with passage of time but the issue of time also lies here as developing countries required with quick shift of flow of knowledge and research for uplift and community development.
It is indeed very unfortunate that children in your country suffer so much from the effects of war.
From the research of Paul Chauchard in particular, it appears that if children learn to read to fluency before the age of 7, the problem does not develop because children become interested in various subjects and begin to read more attentively about them. This develops their concentration ability to a sufficient level for learning all other subjects.
Even for children that have not learned to read fluently in time (before the age of 7), this can be remedied; even it is then more difficult for them to master reading until it becomes easy. If special intensive training is provided, with the agreement of the child, it would seem that they eventually develop interest in some subject or other and begin to read about them more intently, until their concentration ability has developed for other topics.
Such interest in reading may be developed for any subject or type of literature, even novels of any sort.
The important thing is that children acquire sufficient vocabulary to think clearly, because we think with the language that we use, and to the level to which we have mastered it.
This paper may put in better perspective the discoveries made by Chauchard, Hebb and Pavlov about the thinking process:
ADHD and PTSD can share symptoms & signs - Perhaps you may be interested in assessment of PTSD in children. There are a few measures, but most of them rely on self report or family report. Good fortune in your distressed country, Paul
Thank You Sir Paul O Mcgaffey for your kind inputs will be looking for future guidance and support in assessments which may help me to get at ease in nearby locality. Thanks once again for good wishes...
if it is observed that some of the children use to focus education in more precise manner when having the background of geographical existence or presence with in the radius of conflict and war, observed or in process. what are the factors......? is that possible....?
