My suggestion is , Adhoc testing can be done after the formal examinations are over and can be used to find out defects and improve the way of testing. May be it will be helpful if it is done in each unit of the course. Adhoc tests can be concentrated on areas which are not tested in formal exams. These adhoc tests can be performed randomly. An expert is involved in conducting the adhoc tests, who is specialized in the subject of testing. Documentation of the testing method will help the future testers.
