Hi everyone! I am trying use a distillation column (DSTWU) on Aspen Plus, but I'm getting this error:
***SEVERE ERROR
K-VALUE OF HEAVY KEY COMPONENT IN DISTILLATE IS 0.30523E-16
AT A DISTILLATE TEMPERATURE OF 257.63.
UNABLE TO CALCULATE MINIMUM NUMBER OF STAGES. CALCULATIONS BYPASSED.
I'm not sure how to solve it, does anyone know how to solve it?

Check your data to make sure that it is consistent and accurate. Thermodynamic Model: The thermodynamic model you have selected in Aspen HYSYS might not be appropriate for your system. Try selecting a different thermodynamic model to see if it resolves the issue.
This error message is indicating that the calculated value of the heavy key component in the distillate is close to zero, which means that it's not possible to calculate the minimum number of stages required for the distillation column. There are a few reasons why this might be happening:
