Dear researchers,
We want to obtain approximately uniform layer of metal oxides by spin coating of solvothermally prepared metal oxide nanoparticles. The size of nanopartciles are around 100 nm and their shape is almost spherical. In our attempts of spin coating, uniform continuous coating was not obtained.
I would like to know about an idea of a suitable spin coating recipe for our purpose. If possible, we would like to avoid high temperature annealing after spin coating with the expectation to use polymer substrates.

Chemicals you mixed with your nanoparticles while making nanofibers matters alot. For uniform and continuous coating use PVA/ PVP etc. of high molecular weight. Their addition will increase the viscosity of the sample. but should be added in small amount sotheir molecular weight should be high. and if you are using DI water for making solution then that also affects the viscosity so replace that with ethanol, methanol or NMP. NMP generally improves the quality of nanofibers.
Dear @Priyanka kajal i am also going through the same problem. My metal oxide nanoparticles are prepared in methanol but i couldnot get the uniform layer on FTO. As you said we can use PVA to sort this problem. My question is i should replace methanol with PVA through centrifugation or i will add the few drops of PVA in the Metal oxide soln. which is prepared in methanol?
