For Example Darius I, Darius the Great, etc. Is there any corroborating evidence for the death of a Darius when Cyrus AKA Koresh took the throne?
This is to compare the credibility of the disputed Persian timelines, from the end of Babylonian Rule by Belshazzar to the start of Greek rule.
Roger, I'm concerned that you are confusing Darius I with Darius II.
According to A T Olmstead's History of the Persian Empire, Darius I was succeeded by Xerxes I (p. 214), and Darius II was succeeded by Artaxerxes in 404 BCE, who then faced a revolt by Darius' son Cyrus (pp. 355 ff.)

I know that is what they still teach but i am aware of other narratives that I consider more accurate.
Thus if anyone has good evidence to account for any Darius who ruled Persia prior to the Darius by whom the Greeks assended over persia, it would be helpful to either validate or falsify the hyppothesis I am researching. Based on the lack of replies it may be there is little evidence aside from the Darius we know is buried in the royal tombs at Naksh-i-Rustam.
FYI in the alternate narrative Artaxerxes (Ezra 6:14) is AKA as Daryavesh (Darius) and is the son of Xerxes.

I take it, Roger, that you are looking for correlation between the Biblical text and Persian history. Can't really help you there. Most 'Persian history' derives from Greek sources, but one Persian source you may want to check out is the Behistun or Bisotun inscription ascribed to Darius I. Lots of links will come up for you to check out, if you Google or Google Scholar search Behistun. But a good place to start might be:

while it assumes the current conventional dating which is a bit over 150 years in the past then the narrative I hold most accurate.
As you may know some equate .. Mazda with Mordechai the Jew from the scroll of Esther, Purim epic.
I hope to make a good case for same in the next edition of the Recent Complex Creation and reconcile the facts with this.
Purim and the Persian empire by Y. Landy does a fair handed job of relaying the conventional and Torah narratives, but does not try to reconcile them.
OK i found references in ancient texts about Darius the Mede the father of Ahashverosh, dying during his son's reign thus the same person as Darius the Great.
