I personally haven't come across any restrictions from publishers in receiving multiple articles to the same journal from the same author-only on avoiding sending same manuscript to many journals at the same time since its un-ethical.

to give a personal example- presently I am exploring writing a series on financial fall out over each recession -then i can send multiple articles to the same journal as a series.

An unwritten rule however is do not send different articles to the same journal in the same month since editorial team would look for a variety of researchers contributing on each upcoming volume.

My Question is that -

How many articles (Different research works) can on publish in a particular Journal ?

The reason for this question is that someone said one should not publish more than two articles in a particular Journal.

Is that the universally acceptable practice among the Universities all over the world?

As long as you space the timing of publications, it really does not matter. Too many too often will need to questions and concerns. However as Editor of a Journal we had to ourselves write articles and publish when adequate quality articles were not forthcoming and the deadline was very close.

Nonsense. If you are producing quality work in your field, then sometimes thats where you want your articles/research to be. Some areas of interest/study have a limited number of journals dedicated to them. In those cases, that is often where you may want to publish for greatest impact and greatest knowledge-building in your field of practice. Journal editors themselves will usually limit researchers/authors to 1 or maybe 2 per year in their journal, even if high quality is met after perr review. It doesnt hurt to diversify your journal selection, but dont be afraid to publish numerous times in the same journal. Its more important to make sure its quality work in a quality journal.

As many as the journal editor and reviewers decide are worth publishing. And don't submit the same article to different journals at the same time.

Salami-slicing a set of empirical data is legitimate in principle, but once you've prepared the literature review you've a decision to make about whether the field covered is essentially the same in your two or more articles.

If it is, wait for a decision from the first journal's reviewers; learn from their comments; and submit elsewhere. So really, it should be sequential across different journals.

there is no such constraint. You can publish as many as you want.

Most journals that i have found, searched or written to do t have a limit. I know some have a limit. One that i can think of says the limit is there per author per year. This odd very uncommon.

it depends only on the research's quality/value/ and if two/three/n articles of a same author have an addition to the research, at most one same researcher could not publish two articles in a same issue of a journal, and somtimes in some specific journals cases, a same researcher should publish only once every four issues for example

from another view axis, we could say that publishing in a same journal many times, would make the "more than two research articles of a same author" less interesting then if they are published in different journals, which do not let the readers even think to have a doubt about a relation between a researcher and a same journal on which he published many times (this is my personal viewpoint)
