On July 20, 2024, I was notified of acceptance of my research proposal for a book chapter, and I was asked to submit my completed manuscript accompanied by three public domain images including three URLs. I googled my authorial name (Nancy Ann Watanabe public domain images?) and the third URL listed is as follows:

The above URL, which happens to refer to ResearchGate, may be an example of Artificial Intelligence because it shows that a computer read my book chapter and pulled out an important contribution it theoretically makes to scientific knowledge.

When a HTML page has no meta descripton, Google tries to create a short description from the content searching for relevant phrases. It would be a good idea to let an AI summarize the text, but for billions of web pages this is hard to imagine.
