Even without pressure/depth calculations the Argyle pink deformation diamonds are not related to a meteorite impact as pink diamonds are also found within Timber Creek 01 Kimberlite (250km NE of Argyle) and Nabberu 01 Kimberlite (1270km SW of Argyle) in NW Australia. They are to far apart (over 1500km) to be singe impact event. Most other intrusions in the region have only been tested by limited bulk sampling so there may be more occurrences of pink stones.
And to think of a single meteor mega impact event in Australia. MAPCIS of about 600 km in diameter would be one of those giant next.
