Indeed, Qatar University is distinguished by its focus on developing faculty members through continuous education of the latest teaching methods, as well as on teachers integrating axes of excellence into the educational process and harmonizing the axes of excellence and the characteristics of graduates with the content of courses.
There is a saying: You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.
Pretty much the same with students. No, the most modern teaching methods are ineffective if students do not want to learn. And the level of the university is determined not only by the level of professors, but also by the contingent of students (including the level of knowledge gained at schools).
One could get a lot at my university (suffice it to say that Vonsovsky and Kikoin, as well as lot of qualified professors with not very famous names were my teachers), but each took no more than he could and wanted.
I am not satisfied with the level of teaching and teaching methods in my university because teaching is yet to be digitalized and in most cases resources that could facilitate the application of digital methods are inadequate
At Leadership Academia University thé level of teaching is ok unril now. But at Université Chrétienne de Kinshasa we have many problems regardant method of teaching. We have to adopt New methods
Currently we at Kaimosi Friends University College are doing well. We are currently going through training in various skills to enable us to teach online courses and also train our students on the same. We are getting there but not just yet
I’m not satisfied because pandemic has affected every university and teaching methods, online classes can not replace the effectiveness of physical classes.
Yes! I have been very challenged with the classes I am taking in my masters studies. Definitely prefer in-person or hybrid classes over 100% online, and recent dips in education geared enrollment have caused difficult enrollment issues...classes are only offered every two years.
I am satisfied with the methods I used interchangeably. But, I can't speak much for my colleagues. Though, most lecturers have no education background, so some of them seems to dwell more on lecture method. Which makes the class lecturer centered instead of learners centered.
The curriculum is not set according to the requirements of professional competence, and too many irrelevant courses are added. Most of the teaching methods are just explanations, and the tests for students are mostly limited to content memory.
We can't deny that many drawbacks from different school are source for another research. There's no perfect schools unless opted for study to address problems. Teaching and Learning are both significant in deliberating quality education. Thus, extensive research and apply best practices for quality learning.
No, I am not satisfied with the teaching-learning procedure of my university. There are various factors responsible for it. I am trying my label best to do something as per situation permits. Sometimes circumstances compel us to remain silent knowing the things.
In my opinion, there is still a long way to go, but there is an improvement through the use of online tools and changes in the ways of evaluating learning
I think, I am with a purpose to do the job well. But coming to the fact that I am teaching those who are able to learn with the existing situations and conditions only with little support from me, makes me feel uncomfortable. Perhaps, I feel dissatisfied rather with my competence in using available pedagogical and educational technologies in line with emerging social demands and possibilities using better teaching approaches, theories and strategies among several of them available. Especially, making my teaching humanstic and outcome-based stood contradictory. Besides, making my teaching relevant and practical means of solving existing local problems are also my challenges that snatch my source of satisfaction and leave my continued dexterity in vein. So, how could I get satisfaction from my teaching under these choatic situations confounded with multitude of intervening mediatory variables in the processes of my teaching? I think it requires me self-combating struggle for achieving higher competence applicable and useful for such circumstances. May be, i will be satisfied with tomorrow's teaching that i am working on it today and will be enriched through my continued effort and learning better from my practitioner practice, not now but in the near future!
I am not satisfied with the level of teaching and teaching methods at my university. My university's classroom facilities are insufficient and poorly equipped to provide modern teaching aids. It is not possible for teachers to use innovative teaching techniques and new approaches to effectively engage and involve students in academic activities.
Appropriate performance assessment procedures are absent there. Here, the major portions of marks are for summative assessments and a very little portion is for formative assessments. So students' involvement in learning throughout the academic session by effective participation and cooperation is not possible. Earning scores and grades are more important to the students than achieving the learning outcomes of the courses. Though we are struggling hard for an outcome-based curriculum there remain traditional and outdated courses, which are not relevant to the need-assessment of the present job market.
No! Traditional teaching methods which focus on grammar and do not allow space for learners to think are the norm. Trials of renewals are either hindered or treated with suspicion. Lack of knowledge of recent teaching methods + the hierarchical educational system are among the reasons behind the continuation of the traditional teaching methods.
