I'm going to start comparative/contrastive studies in EFL/ESL to find similarities and differences among different nations (international studies). I welcome the researchers who are ready for joint work.
I am a full professor of English (ESP-EAP) at the College of Engineering (Bioengineering and Bioinformatics) belonging to the National University of Entre Rios (Universidad Nacional de Entre Rios - Argentina - www.bioingenieria.edu.ar). I'd be glad to help in your research. You can contact me at [email protected]
I am a professor from the international integration of Portuguese from Brazil and Africa. I lecture English Classes to African and Brazilian students. My colleagues and I would gladly cooperate.
Let's us know what aspect do you need to share in the context of EFL and the uniqueness between the two nations. The teaching of English between two different culture might be interesting.
Dear friends, thank you so much for expressing your interest. what I have in my mind is comparing EFL/ESL presentation strategies among different nations. Of course, I am going to add one or more variables. Let's share our own experiences and prepare the initial draft of proposal. Then, each one of us will run the study in his/her own country. The paper will compare and contrast the results to see how the context or native language may affect the result.
I welcome your comments and suggestions to enrich the proposal. Please let me know if you are ready to start our joint research project. I hope it pave the way for our future cooperation in research.
My suggestions: we may need to have three(3) levels or categories of this study. 1) Pure EFL environments; 2) ESL; and 3) some special ESL conditions (like in Nigeria) where there many who speak only English. Some scholars have argued that, to these group of speakers, English is not just a second language. By the time all these are assembled, it would easier to make comparative analysis.
I am so sorry for long delay in starting the project. Finally I decided to start working on a project entitled" the relationship between tolerance of ambiguity and learners strategies in individual and group oral presentations in EFL/ESL context".
Please add your comments or any question which you may have in your mind before starting the project.
Just for your information, it will be a quantitative study. All variables will be investigated through questionnaires. First we should hold classes in English and ask the students for individual and group oral presentation. After holding the class for at least 6 weeks, we will administer the questionnaires and will gather thet students' perceptions.
Let me know what you think. If you share your emails, I can e-mail you all the materials I have including some relevant articles and questionnaires
I am making a WhatsApp group for international researchers who are interested in joint research work. In this group, we can share our projects and cooperate in conducting joint research activities which will enrich the projects. Moreover, we can share our publications for citation. If you are interested send me a message in Whatsapp through my cell number +989173158394 or send email [email protected] and let me know your cell phone number so I will add you to the group.
I am interested Reza. I am located in Medellín, Colombia with two more colleagues whom want to participate in this proposal. Can you add me to the Wsapp group to contribute to this¡? Thanks in advance!
