My major is concerned with salt lakes in classic period which related with
certain pastoral tribes .
This research deals with the modular architectures built before to the adoption of the meter (SI). It tries to review the history based on the theorem that in the past all measurements are made up of the sides and diagonals of a reference square. That shows my results. Thus we can date buildings and interpret their measurements.
So, was this system universal? Why are there no written sources? Is it necessary to review historical studies?
I'm sorry, I am bad at mathemathics, so I don't know how I could contribute. But I am very interested in your results. Good luck!
