Many studies cover the positive relationship between women's education and participation with GDP growth. however, very few studies covered the effects of women's participation on wages, and these few studies are usually very general and do not cover specific sectors.
Many developing countries has female labourers specifically garments or RMG sector depends on the participation of women. So women are creating a huge impact on GDP growth.
Debasmita Dey i agree that women's participation increases the GDP, but this does not mean that the wages are decent, furthermore what effect will there by on the wages if men where to enter the markets where women are majority ?

Yes, it is true, moreover gender roles in our region are very difficult to develop, this can also be considered as Eastern culture in Indonesia. only a few sectors that can cover the sectors needed by women workers.
In Indonesia, especially in my region, East Kalimantan, the role of working women is still very small, compared to working men.. and the average woman who works in the informal sector (eg, trade or craftsmen)
I agree with Debasmita Dey who already mentioned RMG sector's contribution to economy developing country in general. In addition, CPD study maybe useful to learn more about RMG sector in Bangladesh and female participation and their wage in the labour market. In sum, female participation decreases (over 61% before 2015) and female receives 3% less wage than their male counterparts. Female labour face critical skill gap to cope with advanced technology in the industry leading to decrease their participation day by day.
