Dried figs are usually harvested directly from the floor under the fig-trees. Along the summer, the figs ripe and start drying in the fig-tree and, then, they fall on the soil and go on driyng there. During this periods rainfalls are very rare en mediterranean regions. Only exceptionally, some years summer rainfall occurs and dried figs on the soil are damaged.
