Please can anyone share with me or recommend a publication on simulation of asphaltene precipitation formation using PVTi?
You can find many papers in this field available for download from "www.onepetro.org". You will need to search for keywords such as "Asphaltene Precipitation" in the main search box and also you will need to use the advanced search box and write a keyword such as "PVTi" or Eclipse".
In addition to what was mentioned above, there is a detailed section on the theory behind how PVTi models the presence of wax and asphaltene phases on page 422 of section "Wax and asphaltene precipitation". Also, I have come across a paper once:
an Experimental and Simulation Study of Asphaltene-Induced Permeability Impairment under Natural Depletion Condition. They were using PVTi.
