I do some interdisciplinary research between Management, Leadership and Computer Science Statistics.
I figured out that the narrow themes of some journals do not promote new methodological approaches that well. I also have the feeling that the publishing world is very old school and slow and I was wondering whether there are new ways to publish (e.g. an own research gate peer review option).

The journals "interfaces" and "journal of simulation" are interdisciplinary between management and computer science. It also depends on the main theme of your project, is it leadership ? is it computer science statistics?. The journal should be chosen according to the main theme of the work.
I agree with Dr. Amin. There are many interdisciplinary journals which you can look for for your multidisciplinary research work. No need to start own RG peer review.

I also have some experience with publication in open access journals but I think they are for the value they deliver much too expensive and since peer review is done by scholars free of charge, I think there should be at one point a disruptive platform which has a good reputation and also free of charge (maybe together with research gate).

You can find open access, subscription, and open review journals. In addition, large publishers such as elsevier facilitate 'journal finder tools' that can be used for identifying the best fit journals to specific title and abstract.
For acceptable papers, the duration from paper submission to online availability depend on many factors that include the popularity of the journal, its quality, no. of issues/year, and publishing model. You can also inspect these durations based on previous publications.
