im working on reconfigurable antenna using beam-lead diode. In my simulation , i represented this diode with its equivalent circuit (LR) for ON state and LC for OFF state. my question is , are there be big differences between simulated results and measured one if i test it practically with this way of simulation ?

First of all, the beam-lead diode is RF active elements, which needs a design for matching and biasing networks to operate properly at the proposed frequency.
Second, you need a nonlinear model for this beam-lead diode to use it in the design process and to apply the switching operation, and you can download this model from the manufactures companies websites.
Thirdly, after you finish the design of matching and biasing networks for the beam-lead diode and integrated this design with the proposed antenna, the results will deviate and you need to optimize the structure once again to decrease the deviation between the simulated results before and after integrating the beam-lead diode with the proposed antenna.
Finally, I recommend to you software called Advanced Design System (ADS), which can help you to design and test the beam-lead diode performance.

1- as i mentioned above , im using (R-L) lumped elements circuit for ON and (L-C) circuit for OFF state. this is enough for simulation ?
2- why i need "nonlinear model " and how can i use it CST?
3- yes . i did my optimization.
4- is there any issues related to use CST for simulation ?

Hi,
It's really important how you model your antenna in softwares like HFSS or CST. If you model it as near as real model, you will obtain a more exact response.
For example, I can suggest that you use a copper sheet with a thickness of 0.035 mm or 0.018 mm for your simulation, instead of using ideal metal sheet with thickness of zero..
