There have been no practical studies investigating tactical performance in boxing. I would like to measure tactical performance using an objective test.
You must develop a flow chart of determinant techniques in boxing. Than you register in a spreadsheet how many times each important technique was executed in a chosen interval of time. I believe that each time you perform the analysis, you will find issues to be improved. I call this phase as beta analysis.
First of all, many Thanks Matheus Hausen for your answer.
I believe that techniques are valuable in executing tactics. Researchers should differentiate between Technical skill and tactical skills. All of the researchers couldn't make clear about this certainty. That's why I am struggling so much and trying to find a solution that would help to evaluate tactical skills Or tactics SUBJECTIVELY.
I will try to find something helpful in the NCBI URL you sent.
I think the first step would be to define tactics. Not easy to do. The Rope-a-Dope wasn't well recognised so it was successful.
There are so many tactics available to the athlete, overpowering, countering, drawing out a particular weakness in the opponent, outmanoeuvring them, tiring them out, feinting, pretending slowness or tiredness, setting rhythm, using one's own favourite techniques or strengths...
You may wish to look a the Physical education assessment tool GPAI (Game performance assessment index) that allows for assessment of decision making during performance. A simplistic tool that often comes in handy for coaches and pilot evaluations.
Lots of work going on in relation to tactical analysis in judo. See our project: https://www.researchgate.net/project/Technical-and-tactical-analysis-of-lightweight-womens-judo
I think i found your work, and i would like to say you: congrats, anyway if i can help you for furthers considerations. Please find attached related bibliography below:
