Flowers of I. glandulifera vary in color from pink to white to purple.... However, i have not come across a study investigating these floral color patterns. For people who are familiar with I. glandulifera, is there an evolutionary basis for these variations in color and are there any recorded patterns?

I. glandulifera may exhibit allelopathy, in which it excretes toxins that negatively affect neighboring plants, thus increasing its competitive advantage. Yes, there is temporal or spatial patterns in floral color variation of the invasive Impatiens glandulifera, according to height and temperature. Plant shows splendid invasiveness" and floral color variation from white, blue, pink and red coloration.
