I am working on a project involving studying the impact-abrasive wear during grinding. I am interested to know if there are any relevant papers that has studied or tested impact-abrasive wear of different steels and/or impact-abrasive wear of tooth.

Try to contact Advanced Material Technology (AMT) department from Caterpillar, Peoria Il, USA.
They have Mud-Labs to test Picks, Toots, Drag and Bearings. Maybe they help you out with an specific question. Or contact University of Freiburg, Germany, they have Cutting Impact Lab data.
