One of the reasons of cracking in pomegranate orchards is irregular irrigation in maturity period of fruits. In your research i think in presence of weeds, there are a competition between trees and weeds for water and it causes water deficit in orchard and cracking of fruits.

Thank you for interesting in my question but  my request related with relationship between weeds presence and micro climate surrounding plants and it ,s  effect  on fruit cracking  ,especially in case of  no water deficit  but relative humidity was very low and  high temperature (ranged from 45-50 C0 )during ripening period.

Thank you for interesting in my question,but in my state there is enough micro and macro elements ,as well as adequate irrigation water in the field .but in weed control treatment  i found a significant decrease in fruit cracking percent compared  with un weeded treatments , and that thing lead my to wander about relationship between weeds presence and fruit cracking in Pomegranate.

One of the reason of cracking in pomegranate fruits is high temperature difference between day and night.The soil is heated during the day by sun radiation and this heat is stored in the soil. During the night the heat is released and it causes some increase in air temperature. When there are weeds on orchard floor the speed of reflection and release of heat from soil in the night is decreased so the temperature is lower than when the weeds are not on orchard floor. When we don't have weeds on pomegranate orchard the temperature difference between day and night is lower than when we have weeds. So, we can decrease cracking of pomegranate fruits by decreasing temperature difference between day and night using control of weeds.
