I could like to know if there are any differences in regard of efficacy of microbial agents used in controlling pests. For instance can Trichoderma used in control of RKN in Kenya be used to control the same in another geographical zone?
Biocontrol agents such as Trichogramma spp. are mostly, host specific. If any pest is being controlled by Trichogramma then certainly it would succeed to other places also. But there could be the difference in bio-efficacy because of the climatic factor.
many factors effect the efficacy of bioagent such as the strain used, method of preparation(formulation),method of application ,the degree of disease severity ,stage of plant growth and environment conditions(soil moisture ,pH.salinity--)
