Recently, we published a new flow-based benchmark data set.
In this work, we simulated a small business environment in OpenStack and captured the network traffic in NetFlow format. For the generation of normal network traffic, we used parameterized python-scripts on the clients. For the generation of malicious traffic, we executed PortScans, DoS and SSHBruteForce attacks.
We made already the generation scripts and the resulting data set available at: https://www.hs-coburg.de/cidds and https://github.com/markusring/CIDDS (right now, we work on the documentation of the generation scripts)
