Hi everybody,

We are not sure on how much is known of the diversity of Bryozoan species at the East coast of Mexico. To my knowledge, the most updated information comes from the comprehensive review presented in the chapter "Bryozoans (Ectoprocta) of the Gulf of Mexico" by Judith E. Winston and Frank J. Maturo Jr. (in Felder & Camp, 2009 - Gulf of Mexico Origins, Water and Biota: volume 1 biodiversity). In that chapter, taking the information regarding the Bryozoa species diversity in the south sector of the GMx, the group is apparently poorly studied for that region. This is confirmed by the data in the  Biodiversity of the Gulf of Mexico Database (BioGoMx)

Do you know of any other, more updated reference on the bryozoa from the East-Coast of Mexico?

Who would you reccomend to do collaborative-work on the systematics, taxonomy and gographical distribution of Bryozoa within the Gulf of Mexico Waters? Any person with experience in East-Mexico Bryozoans we could contact?

Thanking in advance for your comments,

Best

Nuno
