I am not sure if nano-fertilizers are safe, because there is not enough information about its safety or potential risks. Please see tha attached paper.
There are missing conclusive results on higher efficincy of nano fertilizers, too.

Yes. But Bio-Nano-fertilizer. The bio-fertilizer produced from plant sources are good for soil and also have no toxic effect.

It might be safe if it is purely Nano fertilizer. The conventional fertilizers are actually made from different chemical components which have environmental effect. But also depending on the quantum of nano materials in the Nano- fertilizers might also show some side effect if it not balanced.
Nano fertiliser are good for agricuture because, due to their size, they easy to enter plant root and pass to other parts, so growth rate increased.
Soil also get fertility easy so no harm to environment

@ Nagalakshmi Radhakrishnan : the transpot mechanism of fertiliser to plant has nothing to do with the size of fertiliser particles. The first step is dissolution of fertiliser in water. There is no transport of solid particles to plants at all.
