I'm working on a Micro-Grid that is being installed. So, I've a query on using the circuit breakers.
We' have to supply power for some limited time in a day so we've to cut the power for the rest of the time. What do you think is the best idea for doing that without much labor and which is more reliable than circuit breaker? Does anyone have a better idea than using a circuit breaker to do so?
Ya.. Circuit breakers with advance computer monitoring system(For time management) is good and reliable options.
Thanks Nishant, But as the circuit breakers are not reliable when operated from a far distance as they can be manipulated. Is there any other efficient alternative for this?
this is an Example case: July 31st,2012-A grid malfunction in Agra & Also northern Indian states were drawing more power from the grid than allotted.
India endured the world's largest power failure today (July 31), with a blackout that affected 700 million people, including the nation's capital of New Delhi.
The culprit may be northern Indian states drawing more power from the country's grid than they were allotted. "India has circuit breakers to cut off power to states that overdraw, but state officials may have told the circuit breaker personnel not to shut off their power", Surendra Rao, former chairman of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, told the New York Times. Federal officials will penalize overdrawing states, Shinde told the New York Times.
so...what do you think after reading this case?
With remote control, with specific frequency , we control with reliability the satellite , circuit breaker, is not the problem.
