Anatoly - Blood pressure has not only medical dimension but social dimension as well. For the chronic disease of hypertension, it is hypothesized that not just the influence of socio-cultural change/ socio - cultural processes but the patient-respondent's perception of the social change/social processes that he/she has experienced could be important factors in understanding the disease. Family, husband - wife relationships, friends circle and work atmosphere have a significant bearing in understanding the disease. Social background, social class and social mobility are other determining factors to understand the relationship between social structures and blood pressure disease.
