The paper from Hanisch & Rau (2014) was very systematic and the review was updated.

The paper on the role of emotions was also very relevant. Emotions in entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education (and in decision processes in general) are a very interesting area of research. I remember Souitaris et al. 2007 stating:

 "We suggest that instructors (academics and practitioners) should receive training not only on how to teach entrepreneurship, but also on how to change ‘hearts and minds’. But how exactly can instructors inspire and encourage emotions? If we assume that the instructor plays a leadership role within the student group, we can get practical advice from the vibrant literature on charismatic leadership."

Might it be that choices, like the choice of an entrepreneurial career, are more based  on, (or at least mediated by) emotions, than on a more rational arguments? If so, it would be interesting to know if anyone have followed the suggestions from Soutaris et al. on looking into/combining the links between charismatic leadership and entreprenerial intentions.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions and papers. It is important to know the reasons people give for starting a campany, retrospectivly. But, it would be equally important to dig deeper into what factors that actually trigger the decition to starting a new company. Do you think that a conjoint analysis of various attributes for the decition situation would be an interesting path to follow?
